Job Description for LSL Sea Lions
Job Functions
- Swimmer Coach must be an active member of the LSL Swim team.
Active is defined by 1) attending a minimum of 3 practices per
week and 2) participating in a minimum of 4 swim meets during
the season
- Swimmer Coach actively participates in practice/lesson set up
and break down
- Swimmer Coach works practices/lessons as assigned by the Head
Coach and/or Swim Lesson Coordinator
- Swimmer Coach works one-on-one and in a group with swimmers
providing constructive comments and swimming technique suggestions
- Swimmer Coach should be a good role model during practice/lessons
by following instructions and working hard
- Swimmer Coach assists with meet sign ups and relays of younger
swimmers during the swim meets
- Swimmer Coach actively participates in "in water"
coaching with swimmers
- Swimmer Coach follows a lesson plan for swim lessons
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum age: 15 years and/or entering Freshman year in High
School
- Must be an active member of the LSL Swim team. Active is defined
by 1) attending a minimum of 3 practices per week and 2) participating
in a minimum of 4 swim meets during the season
- Strong understanding of swim technique, swim coaching experience
a plus but not required
- CPR certified (Swim Team will offer a class for those needing
certification)
